A wide coffee counter can still have an awkward workflow. If the beans, grinder and machine are spread across its full length, every cup involves unnecessary reaching. The advantage of a two-meter coffee bar is room to separate tasks—not a reason to spread out the daily routine.
This layout puts the espresso machine to the left, grinding and preparation near the middle, and beans, serving supplies and rinsing toward the right. Keep the brewing sequence within comfortable reach and use the remaining width for landing and cleanup.
Read the dimensions as a case rather than a standard

The described counter is 200 cm wide, 70 cm deep and 95 cm high—approximately 78.7 × 27.6 × 37.4 inches. The space above the worktop is reported as 56 cm, with 30 cm-deep upper cabinets.
Those numbers explain this particular arrangement. They do not mean a 95 cm counter will suit every person or that 56 cm of overhead space meets every machine's requirements. Mock up the working height and test the tamping motion before ordering cabinetry.
Depth is especially important when moving from a compact appliance to a larger machine. For comparison, La Marzocco lists its current US Linea Mini at 21.3 inches deep, about 54.1 cm. That equipment depth is only part of a layout; connections, service access and surrounding working space also need consideration.
Bring the grinder and preparation area together

The central position lets beans move into the grinder, then into the portafilter, without crossing the finished-drink area. Keep the tools you use in that sequence close to one another. A second grinder, if present, should not occupy the only flat space available for handling a basket.
Try a dry rehearsal: weigh an empty dosing vessel, move it to the grinder, transfer it to the preparation area and then reach for the machine. Notice which items you have to step around or move. Solve those interruptions before adding decorative objects.
The order can be reversed for your room and preferred working hand. The important thing is that you are not repeatedly carrying loose grounds or wet tools over unrelated supplies.
Protect the middle of the mat

A tool rack behind the mat uses vertical space while leaving its front open. That clear area is where the routine happens. Do not permanently fill it with bean jars just because there is room for them in a photograph.
Keep a separate dry landing space for the drinking cup. For an iced drink, prepare the ice and water before pulling the shot when possible. It is easier to concentrate on extraction when you are not walking away to search the freezer.
Small supplies can be enclosed at the edge of this zone. The BaristaNest Solid Black Walnut Two-Drawer Countertop Coffee Organizer is approximately 11.5 × 11 × 11.5 cm. Its compact drawers suit packets and small accessories; keep enough space in front to open them.
Test cabinet doors while standing at the machine

An upper door that stops in front of your head can make a generous counter unpleasant to use. Check the actual hinge opening and the door's path while you stand where you will brew. Also check nearby walls, lights and adjacent doors before choosing wide-opening hardware.
Put the most-used cups within easy reach. The top shelf can carry occasional display pieces rather than something you must retrieve while holding a hot drink.
Plan the wet end as carefully as the dry end

This arrangement includes several water-using functions. Make a separate list of the appliances that actually require a connection; four supply lines in one home are not a shopping list for every coffee corner. Plan the drain, shutoff and filter access with the chosen equipment and installer. La Marzocco's plumbing-kit instructions show the importance of the drain as well as the inlet.
For ordinary countertop cleanup, use a suitable damp cloth and dry the surface. Do not use the espresso steam wand to heat a towel in your hand. The sink should make cleanup simpler, not introduce a hot-steam step.
Before signing off a cabinet drawing, rehearse brewing, serving and rinsing without moving the appliances. Use our coffee bar cabinet planning guide for the remaining fit checks.
