A coffee bar shelf with drawers works best when the top holds the things you reach for every morning and the drawers contain the small pieces that make the counter look busy. Start with your actual routine: choose a cup, measure coffee, brew, add anything you like, and put the tools back. The shelf should make that sequence easier.
For a compact station, a few familiar cups above two well-assigned drawers can be more useful than another tall display rack. You get an attractive focal point without leaving packets, scoops and spare accessories scattered around it.
Decide what deserves the display space
Put your daily cups on the open platform, handles facing a direction that lets you lift them without moving the jar beside them. Add one small, sealed coffee container if it belongs to the same routine. Leave a visible gap between the groups.
That gap has a job. It gives your fingers somewhere to go.
A decorative object can stay if it still leaves the cups easy to collect. Try taking a cup while holding an empty milk jug in your other hand. If you need to rearrange the display first, remove an item or move it to an existing wall shelf.
Give the two drawers different jobs
Think in tasks rather than assorted objects. One drawer can serve drinks: sugar sachets, tea bags in their packaging, or other individually wrapped additions. The other can hold clean, dry accessories such as a small scoop, spare filter basket or measuring spoon, provided each item fits.
